The Tree Warden is a licensed arborist who manages the care and control of the urban forest in Trumbull. Some of the duties of the Tree Warden include: Advising town officials on tree related matters by providing expertise with regard to resident requests for tree inspections, evaluation and management.
The property owner may request that a tree only be pruned if said pruning will satisfy the maintenance and safety requirements of the utility provider.
Inspecting tree pruning and removal. Fill out the permit application (go to shrubnotch.club) Forms must be complete with owner information, address, contractor info/license number (if applicable), detailed description of work and estimated value of work.
(If a building permit, do not include subcontractor costs. The Trumbull Tree Warden plays a vital role in the communication between the homeowner and their utility company. Under the law, the removal or pruning of trees in or around utility lines should only be performed by United Illuminating (UI) and Eversource contractors. The Oregon Forest Practices Act requires a notification to be filed before beginning any forest operation and a permit to be obtained for any operation that uses fire or power driven machinery.
